SK hynix Inc. will transfer U.S. dollars from its recent American depositary receipt (ADR) offering to South Korea by July 15, 2026. The company plans to convert a portion of these funds into local currency to construct two new factories. These funds will also finance the purchase of chipmaking equipment.

The recent share sale raised approximately 43 trillion won. This capital infusion represents roughly $28.07 billion. The company intends to use the proceeds to capitalize on surging demand for AI-related technology.

The influx of U.S. dollars into the local market may provide support for the South Korean won. This announcement follows significant stock volatility that created performance gaps in related leveraged ETF products.
