IBM expanded its collaboration with NVIDIA at GTC 2026 to move enterprise artificial intelligence projects into full production. The partnership focuses on GPU-native data analytics and infrastructure to resolve data fragmentation and compliance issues.

The companies integrated IBM’s watsonx.data SQL engine with NVIDIA’s cuDF to accelerate data processing. A proof-of-concept involving Nestlé supply chain data reduced query runtimes from 15 minutes to three minutes. This efficiency gain resulted in an 83% cost saving.

IBM Cloud will deploy NVIDIA’s Blackwell Ultra GPUs in the second quarter of 2026. These units will support large-scale AI model training and inference for enterprise clients.
