The IBM I.T. Solutions Pension Scheme, or 'I Plan', completed a £700 million buy-in. Standard Life finalized the transaction in November 2025.
The deal secures benefits for more than 3,600 members. This total includes both current pensioners and deferred members.
The bulk purchase annuity removes funding and investment risks from the scheme. Standard Life already covers the IBM UK Personal Pension Plan.
