Infineon Technologies AG agreed to sell its NOR Flash and Ferroelectric RAM (F-RAM) business to Taiwan’s Winbond Electronics Corporation. The all-cash transaction is valued at $1.12 billion.

The German chipmaker is divesting the specialty memory portfolio to prioritize its automotive and industrial sectors. This move aims to streamline capital allocation toward core growth areas.

The deal includes memory solutions for automotive, industrial, and infrastructure clients. Regulatory approvals are required, with the transaction expected to close in the second half of next year.
