The Trump administration will issue executive orders on June 22 to accelerate the U.S. transition to post-quantum encryption. These actions prioritize government financing and research for quantum computing and sensing to strengthen national security.

This move follows a May 2026 announcement from the Department of Commerce regarding the CHIPS and Science Act. The department issued letters of intent to provide $2 billion in incentives. These funds will support nine domestic quantum companies.

Infleqtion is a primary recipient of the May initiative. The company will receive $100 million to advance its neutral-atom quantum systems.
