Intel and Ericsson launched a multi-year collaboration to accelerate the development and deployment of AI-native 6G networks. The companies announced the partnership at Mobile World Congress Barcelona 2026. This agreement extends a long-standing relationship between the two technology leaders. The initiative aims to transition 6G from the research phase into a commercial reality.

The collaboration targets AI-driven Radio Access Networks (RAN) and packet core technologies. Development efforts also include cloud computing, edge computing, and platform security.

Both companies will coordinate on technology research and global standardization. The partnership seeks to provide network operators with a more open and cost-effective path to 6G deployment.
