Intel Corporation announced several senior leadership appointments intended to bolster its long-term strategy.

The company named Robin Colwell as Senior Vice President of Government Affairs. Colwell, a former Deputy Assistant to U.S. President Donald Trump, will lead global engagement with policymakers. This appointment is significant given Intel’s strategic role in the semiconductor industry and its relationship with the U.S. government.

Annie Shea Weckesser joins Intel as the new Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing and Communications Officer. She previously worked at the AI startup SambaNova Systems.

Pushkar Ranade will assume the role of Interim Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Ranade currently serves as Chief of Staff to the CEO. As CTO, he will guide the company’s advanced technology strategy, including areas such as quantum computing.
