Intel announced several senior leadership appointments aimed at enhancing engagement with policymakers and global stakeholders. The company named Robin Colwell, former deputy assistant to President Donald Trump, as Senior Vice President of Government Affairs. This appointment follows the U.S. government becoming a major Intel investor through a deal structured under the Trump administration.
Annie Shea Weckesser will serve as Chief Marketing and Communications Officer. Weckesser previously worked at AI start-up SambaNova. This move is notable as Intel is reportedly in talks to acquire SambaNova.
Additionally, Pushkar Ranade, the CEO’s Chief of Staff, will also assume the role of interim Chief Technology Officer.
