Carl Icahn reduced his stake in JetBlue Airways to 3.3% according to a new SEC filing. His firm now holds 12,528,346 shares in the carrier. The sale brings his ownership below the 5% threshold required for public reporting.
Icahn remains the largest individual shareholder outside of major asset managers. He first acquired a stake in the airline in January 2024. The investor currently holds two seats on the JetBlue board of directors.
JetBlue shares rose 1.3% in premarket trading following the disclosure. The reduction follows a period of financial struggles for the airline.
