KBR secured a contract from ORNX Green Hydrogen for a major ammonia project in Morocco. The company will provide pre-front-end engineering design and technology licensing services.
The facility aims to produce approximately 560,000 metric tons of ammonia annually. It will utilize roughly 900 MW of electrolyzer capacity.
The U.S. Trade and Development Agency is supporting the initiative. The project integrates power generation, hydrogen production, and ammonia synthesis into one platform.
Morocco will leverage its renewable energy resources to supply low-carbon ammonia to global markets. This deal expands KBR's presence in the green hydrogen and ammonia sectors.
