The Coca-Cola Company (TCCC) has named Henrique Braun as its new Chief Executive Officer. Braun, currently the Executive Vice President and COO, will assume the role on March 31. This transition follows TCCC’s recent report of strong third-quarter results, which saw net revenues increase by 5% to $12.5 billion.

Braun’s background, which includes American citizenship and a Brazilian upbringing, is highlighted as TCCC navigates international trade and diplomatic complexities. The incoming CEO faces several immediate challenges. These include stagnating soda sales across key markets and evolving consumer preferences toward healthier options.

Braun succeeds James Quincey, who led the company for nine years. During his tenure, Quincey oversaw significant investments in high-growth product lines. He expanded the portfolio with several billion-dollar brands and successfully reintroduced alcoholic ready-to-drink beverages.
