Marketing automation company Klaviyo (NYSE: KVYO) has announced an agreement to acquire the team and technology of Agency, an AI-native customer success company. As part of the acquisition, Agency's co-founder and CEO, Elias Torres, will join Klaviyo as its Chief Product Officer.

The move marks a reunion for Torres and Klaviyo's co-founder and co-CEO, Andrew Bialecki. Torres previously hired Bialecki at Performable, a company later acquired by HubSpot in 2011. Torres, who also co-founded the successful conversational commerce company Drift, will now lead Klaviyo's AI-driven agent product line, including its 'Composer' and 'Customer Agent' tools. The acquisition is intended to accelerate Klaviyo's development of AI agents for customer relationship management.
