Lucid Motors is recalling 4,476 Gravity SUVs from the 2025 and 2026 model years. A filing with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) identifies a safety defect in the second-row seats.

Improperly welded lap belt anchor brackets may fail to restrain passengers during a crash. This failure increases the risk of injury to occupants.

Supplier Camaco Automotive caused the issue through an unapproved manufacturing change. Lucid discovered the defect during internal testing in January.

The recall covers all vehicles manufactured before February 14, 2026. Lucid reports no known accidents or injuries related to this defect.

The company will inspect all affected vehicles and repair welds or replace seats free of charge.
