CEO Li Xiang announced a strategic shift to transform Li Auto into an embodied intelligence enterprise. The company plans to unveil humanoid robots soon to move beyond its traditional vehicle focus. This expansion aligns Li Auto with Chinese competitors like XPENG who are also entering the robotics sector.
Li Auto introduced its next-generation autonomous driving model, MindVLA-o1, at the March 2026 NVIDIA GTC conference. Foundation models head Zhan Kun confirmed the underlying architecture controls both vehicles and robots. The company views autonomous driving as the starting point for its broader physical AI ambitions.
