Lockheed Martin, L3Harris, and the U.S. Army completed a critical propulsion test for the Precision Strike Missile (PrSM) Increment 4. The ground test validated the missile's transition from a solid rocket booster to a ramjet engine.

The ramjet-powered missile targets distances exceeding 1,000 kilometers, or 620 miles. This capability more than doubles the range of the current PrSM system.

The missile remains compatible with existing HIMARS and M270 launchers. This design avoids the requirement for new logistical support infrastructure.

Flight testing is scheduled to begin in the fall of 2026. Lockheed Martin and L3Harris invested over $300 million in advanced manufacturing to support future production.
