The U.S. Navy awarded Lockheed Martin an $871.2 million contract modification. This modification increases support for the expanding global F-35 fleet. The award supplements a $2.29 billion base contract from June 2026. That base contract covers site activation and sustainment as more nations and U.S. military branches bring the F-35 into service.

The new funding provides essential support equipment for new F-35 operational sites worldwide. This equipment includes spare parts, specialized tools, and infrastructure for new squadrons. The work will run through February 2031. It addresses the logistical needs of the worldwide F-35 fleet. The F-35 fleet has grown to over 1,300 aircraft.
