Lockheed Martin appointed Orlando "OJ" Sanchez, Jr. to lead its Aeronautics business, effective June 1. Sanchez currently serves as the head of the company's Skunk Works division. He succeeds Greg Ulmer, who is retiring after more than 30 years of service.

The Aeronautics division generates more than $30 billion in annual revenue. This business unit manages cornerstone defense programs, including the F-35 fighter jet. Ulmer will serve as a strategic advisor to ensure a seamless leadership transition.

Sanchez is a former U.S. Air Force officer and F-22 combat pilot. He previously led the development of multiple advanced weapons systems. This appointment places a leader with an innovation background at the forefront of Lockheed's largest business area.
