Lyft agreed to acquire Gett’s UK operations for approximately $55 million. This transaction establishes a major presence in the United Kingdom. The deal is expected to close within the coming weeks.
The acquisition integrates Gett’s network of licensed London black cab drivers into Lyft’s platform. This move will nearly double Lyft’s ride volume in the city. The service offering will expand to include private hires, chauffeur services, and micromobility.
Gett’s UK team will transition to Freenow, which Lyft acquired one year ago. The deal adds an established base of corporate and consumer clients to Lyft's portfolio.
