Microchip Technology Inc. launched the PolarFire FPGA Ethernet Sensor Bridge Revision 2.0 for the edge AI market.
The new board supports NVIDIA-powered AI platforms including Jetson and IGX. This hardware features a 60% smaller form factor than its predecessor.
The bridge supports twice the number of cameras at a lower price point. The architecture replaces proprietary sensor connections with a scalable 10Gb Ethernet-based system.
The update targets developers in medical technology, industrial robotics, and automation. Microchip aims to accelerate edge AI deployment by reducing design complexity and costs.
