Microchip Technology will acquire Hailo. Hailo, an Israeli-based developer, creates artificial intelligence (AI) processors for edge devices. The acquisition enhances Microchip's offerings in the intelligent edge market. This includes applications such as robotics, smart cameras, and industrial automation. Microchip will integrate Hailo's AI accelerators and vision processors into its portfolio.
The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Microchip stated the transaction is not expected to materially impact its financial results. The acquisition brings over 100 of Hailo's current customers to Microchip. It also adds a community of more than 10,000 developers to Microchip's ecosystem. The transaction anticipates closing by the end of September 2026. This remains pending regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions.
