Meta Platforms expanded its artificial intelligence investment by committing $21 billion to CoreWeave for cloud infrastructure. The new long-term agreement spans from 2027 through 2032. This contract builds upon a previous $14.2 billion deal with the specialized provider. CoreWeave will supply the computing power necessary for Meta’s large-scale AI training and inference.

The investment highlights the rising costs of competing against rivals like Google and OpenAI. Meta ensures access to critical Nvidia GPUs by securing dedicated capacity from CoreWeave data centers. The agreement includes some of the first deployments of Nvidia’s upcoming Vera Rubin platform. This infrastructure will span multiple locations to enhance Meta's performance and scalability.
