Meta is increasing the price of its Quest 3 virtual reality headset by $100 to $599.99, effective Sunday, April 19. The company is also raising the prices of both its entry-level Quest 3S models by $50, bringing the 128GB version to $349.99 and the 256GB model to $449.99.
Meta attributed the price adjustments to a significant rise in the cost of building high-performance VR hardware. The company specifically cited a global surge in the price of critical components like memory chips, which is affecting the broader consumer electronics industry.
