Deutsche Bank downgraded Monster Beverage (MNST) from a "Buy" to a "Hold" rating on July 20, 2026. The bank cited valuation concerns after a period of strong stock performance.
Analyst Steve Powers noted the stock's current price increasingly relies on results needing to exceed the bank's already optimistic expectations.
Despite the downgrade, Deutsche Bank remains positive on Monster's business operations. The bank noted the company is "operationally firing on all cylinders." Reflecting this confidence, Deutsche Bank increased its price target for Monster to $98 from $94.
The analyst warned that at its current valuation, even minor disappointments in growth or margins could lead to a significant stock price correction. Shares of Monster Beverage fell 1.8% in early trading following the report.
