MedPal AI PLC opened its largest robotic pharmacy dispensing and distribution facility in Runcorn following NHS approval.
The Sarus Court facility covers 23,000 square feet. The project involved an investment of over £1 million in automation and robotics. Management expects the site to become one of the UK’s most sophisticated and low-cost pharmacy platforms.
Operations begin this month with an initial capacity of 2,000 prescription items per day. The facility is designed to eventually support a daily throughput of over 10,000 items.
At full capacity, the hub can process more than 300,000 prescription items monthly. This expansion scales the company's AI-enabled platform across both NHS and private healthcare markets.
