AI startup Anthropic is reportedly in discussions to raise $10 billion in a new funding round that would give it a pre-money valuation of $350 billion. This would nearly double the company's $183 billion valuation from a funding round in September 2025. The new financing is reportedly expected to be led by Singapore's sovereign-wealth fund GIC and Coatue Management.

This capital raise follows a major partnership announcement in November 2025 where Microsoft and Nvidia committed to invest up to $5 billion and $10 billion, respectively. As part of that deal, Anthropic agreed to purchase $30 billion in cloud computing capacity from Microsoft's Azure, which utilizes Nvidia's AI systems. Founded by former OpenAI researchers, Anthropic's focus on AI safety and its enterprise-focused Claude chatbot have attracted significant investment as it competes with other major players in the generative AI space.
