OpenAI Nears Record $100B Funding at $850B Valuation to Fuel AI Infrastructure

OpenAI is finalizing the first phase of a funding round expected to exceed $100 billion. This transaction would set a new record for a private financing deal. The capital injection will push the company's post-money valuation to more than $850 billion. OpenAI's pre-money valuation is expected to remain at approximately $730 billion.

A consortium of strategic corporate investors including Microsoft, Nvidia, Amazon, and SoftBank will lead the initial tranche. Commitments from these partners could approach $100 billion. The parties anticipate finalizing the deal by the end of February 2026.
