ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT) plans a 29.5 billion yuan ($4.3 billion) IPO on Shanghai’s STAR Market. Subscriptions for the offering will begin on July 16. This listing represents one of the largest Chinese initial public offerings this year.
CXMT reported a significant profit in the first quarter of 2026 following years of losses. An AI-driven surge in memory demand fueled this financial improvement. The company currently ranks as the world’s fourth-largest DRAM manufacturer.
Proceeds will fund production line upgrades and advanced technology development. The state-backed firm aims to compete directly with market leaders Samsung, SK Hynix, and Micron. While CXMT still trails in HBM technology, the IPO strengthens its position in the critical semiconductor sector.
