Cloudflare expanded its developer platform on March 19, 2026, by integrating large frontier open-source models into Workers AI. The company debuted Moonshot AI’s Kimi K2.5 as the first available model. This model features a 256k context window designed for complex AI agent tasks.

Developers can now build and deploy the full lifecycle of AI agents on a single unified platform. Internal testing showed that running agents with the Kimi model on Workers AI reduced costs by 77% compared to proprietary alternatives.

The launch supports CEO Matthew Prince’s strategy to position Cloudflare as essential infrastructure for AI agents. Prince recently predicted that AI-driven bot traffic will exceed human internet traffic by 2027.
