Cloudflare released its inaugural 2026 Threat Intelligence Report this week, detailing a significant evolution in the cybercrime landscape. The report found that threat actors are increasingly utilizing AI and shifting tactics from system breaches to compromising legitimate user identities and cloud services. Distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks also reached unprecedented levels of scale and speed.

CFO Thomas Seifert discussed these findings at a Morgan Stanley conference, where he reported that traffic from AI agents doubled in January 2026. Seifert highlighted the company's strong growth and positioned AI as a central driver of future performance.

Cloudflare’s stock price rose 3.6% on March 4th following the report and Seifert’s remarks.
