The High Court of Justice in England and Wales sanctioned a restructuring plan for two New Fortress Energy (NFE) subsidiaries on June 18, 2026.

Creditors approved the plan with 99% support. These votes were cast during meetings held on June 15.

The restructuring involves NFE Global Holdings Limited and NFE Brazil Newco Limited. This legal milestone addresses a significant debt load and an ongoing liquidity crisis.

The consensual financial overhaul aims to provide a stable capital structure for the energy infrastructure company.

A hearing is scheduled for June 26 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York to recognize the UK plan. The company expects to fully implement the transaction by the third quarter of 2026.
