Nvidia’s board of directors increased the company’s share repurchase program by an additional $150 billion. The move brings the total authorized amount to $235 billion.

Nvidia plans to complete the buybacks through fiscal year 2028. The authorization is likely the largest share buyback authorization in U.S. corporate history.

Nvidia shares rose in premarket trading after the announcement. CEO Jensen Huang said the company’s strong cash generation allows it to invest in AI and accelerated computing while returning capital to shareholders. He added that the authorization reflects Nvidia’s confidence in its long-term opportunities.
