NVIDIA and Deutsche Telekom AG are reportedly planning to announce a new €1 billion data center in Germany to expand Europe's AI infrastructure. According to people familiar with the plans, both companies will contribute funding for the project, which is equivalent to approximately $1.2 billion. [8] The facility is expected to utilize around 10,000 of NVIDIA's advanced graphics processing units (GPUs). Europe's largest software company, SAP SE, is slated to be a customer of the new data center. This initiative aligns with broader European efforts to build out its own AI ecosystem to compete with the US and China. [8] An official announcement with NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang, Deutsche Telekom CEO Tim Höttges, and SAP CEO Christian Klein is expected at an event in Berlin next month. The planned location for the data center is Munich. [8]
