NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang will visit China in late January 2026.

He plans to attend company events ahead of the Lunar New Year and seeks to reopen the crucial market for NVIDIA's artificial intelligence chips. It remains unclear whether Huang will meet with senior Chinese government officials during the trip.

The visit occurs as the U.S. adjusts export restrictions on advanced AI processors. Washington has reportedly approved NVIDIA to sell a version of its H200 AI chip in China. Beijing is currently deciding on the volume of these chips it will allow for import.

The trip highlights the strategic importance of the Chinese market as NVIDIA navigates the complex regulatory environment.
