NVIDIA, Microsoft, and AI company Anthropic have announced a significant strategic partnership. As part of the collaboration, NVIDIA and Microsoft have committed to invest up to $10 billion and $5 billion, respectively, in Anthropic, a prominent competitor to OpenAI. Under the agreement, Anthropic will scale its Claude AI models on Microsoft's Azure cloud platform, which is powered by NVIDIA's technology. Anthropic has committed to purchasing $30 billion in Azure compute capacity. The partnership also establishes a deep technology collaboration between NVIDIA and Anthropic to optimize Anthropic's AI models for current and future NVIDIA architectures, including its Grace Blackwell and Vera Rubin systems. This deal makes Anthropic's Claude the only major large language model available on the world's three largest cloud platforms. Despite the scale of the announcement, NVIDIA's shares saw a decline of over 3% in early trading on November 18, 2025, amid broader market concerns about a potential AI bubble and investor pullbacks.
