NVIDIA and Samsung Electronics have announced a major collaboration to build the world's first AI factory for semiconductor manufacturing. This state-of-the-art facility will integrate NVIDIA's platforms directly into Samsung's advanced chip production lines to create next-generation, AI-driven manufacturing. The new factory will be powered by over 50,000 NVIDIA GPUs and will utilize the NVIDIA Omniverse platform to create a real-time digital twin of the fabrication plant. This will enable predictive maintenance, process optimization, and a move towards a fully autonomous factory, aiming to increase operational efficiency and production yields. The collaboration also extends to accelerating computational lithography, a critical and computationally intensive part of chip manufacturing.
