NVIDIA announced a multi-year partnership with SoftBank subsidiary SB Energy on August 17, 2026. The agreement establishes a large-scale AI data center campus in Pike County, Ohio. OpenAI will serve as the key tenant for the infrastructure.
NVIDIA secures land, power, and shell capacity for its AI compute systems through this deal. The site guarantees an initial IT load of 4.25 gigawatts.
NVIDIA will invest $1.5 billion directly into SB Energy to support the project. The company also entered into residual value guarantees for the commitment. Total aggregate payment obligations are capped at $105 billion.
