Oklo Inc. is utilizing a combined license pathway with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to accelerate the deployment of its fast fission reactors. This strategy consolidates construction and operating approvals into a single application, aligning with Oklo’s model of designing, building, and operating its own power plants.

The company aims to establish a regulatory benchmark with its initial application to enable the reuse of safety and design reports for future projects. This standardized approach is expected to significantly shorten review timelines for subsequent reactor sites.

Oklo has finalized all readiness activities for its Aurora-INL location. The NRC is currently reviewing the license application for this site.
