On Holding has opened a new manufacturing facility near Busan, South Korea, to scale its proprietary LightSpray™ technology. The site utilizes 32 fully automated robots to drive the expansion.

This facility marks a strategic move to increase global production capacity 30-fold by 2026. The company is employing a nearshoring strategy to bring manufacturing closer to end consumers.

The transition aims to build supply chain resilience against rising labor costs, geopolitical risks, and potential tariffs. Co-founder Caspar Coppetti noted that automation facilitates faster production and a reduced environmental footprint.

On Holding intends to open similar robot-powered facilities in the Americas and Europe in the coming years.
