Oracle announced a major investment in Project Jupiter, a large-scale AI data center campus in Doña Ana County, New Mexico.
Oracle will be the tenant for the facility. The center supports AI workloads for OpenAI. This expansion advances Oracle's U.S. artificial intelligence infrastructure footprint.
Oracle committed $360 million in direct payments to local schools and public services. The company also allocated $50 million for water system upgrades.
The data center operates on a dedicated microgrid, independent of the public power system. Oracle funds all energy infrastructure, including a dedicated substation and battery storage.
