Oracle Executive Chairman and CTO Larry Ellison abruptly canceled a plan to sell up to 50 million shares.

The proposed stake carried a market value of approximately $7.5 billion.

Oracle confirmed on Saturday that Ellison sold no stock under the prearranged 10b5-1 trading plan.

This reversal occurred one day after a regulatory filing disclosed the plan's existence.

The company stated that Ellison has no other current plans to sell his holdings.

Ellison remains Oracle's largest shareholder with a stake exceeding 40%.
