Petrobras awarded Dutch firm SBM Offshore contracts for two Floating Production, Storage, and Offloading (FPSO) units.
The vessels, SEAP-I and SEAP-II, will serve the Sergipe Deepwater project under a Build, Operate, and Transfer (BOT) model.
The units provide a combined production capacity of 240,000 barrels of oil per day.
The project will process 22 million cubic meters of natural gas daily.
Operations are located in the Sergipe-Alagoas Basin, a new frontier for Brazilian production.
Petrobras expects first oil from the development to begin in 2030.
