Petrobras reached an all-time high production of 3.34 million barrels of oil equivalent per day (boed) in Q2 2026. This output represents a 14.1% increase compared to the same period last year. Higher operational efficiency and the ramp-up of new offshore units, including the P-79 platform, fueled the growth.

The company’s refinery utilization factor set a historic quarterly record of 101.2%. This high operational rate boosted the domestic supply of derivatives such as diesel. These refining levels resulted in the lowest quarterly volume of fuel imports on record.

Petrobras stated this performance was essential to ensuring Brazil's energy supply during a period of geopolitical instability.
