Petrobras will hold a press conference on Friday, May 29, 2026. The company plans to invest R$72.5 billion (US$14.4 billion) in Sergipe. This investment will span the next five years.
The Sergipe Deepwater project (SEAP I and II) will receive over R$60 billion. Remaining capital will fund the decommissioning of existing offshore platforms. Petrobras also intends to restart the Sergipe Nitrogen Fertilizer Plant (Fafen-SE). The expenditure confirms a long-term strategic focus on deepwater expansion.
