Pfizer reported positive topline results from two Phase 3 trials evaluating Litfulo for nonsegmental vitiligo. The TRANQUILLO and TRANQUILLO 2 studies met their co-primary endpoints for the oral drug ritlecitinib.
Patients treated with Litfulo showed significant facial and total body repigmentation after 52 weeks compared to a placebo. The trials tested 50 mg and 100 mg once-daily doses in patients aged 12 and older.
Safety data remained consistent with previous studies for alopecia areata, with no new safety signals identified. Pfizer plans to submit global regulatory filings to expand the drug's approved indications to include this chronic autoimmune skin condition.
