Petrobras (Petróleo Brasileiro S.A.) will invest $1.2 billion to build a dedicated renewable fuels plant. The facility will produce renewable jet fuel (bioQAV) and renewable diesel.
The project will be located at the Presidente Bernardes refinery (RPBC) in São Paulo state. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2026. Operations are slated to start in 2030.
The plant will have a production capacity of 15,000 barrels per day. This investment is a key component of the company’s 2026-2030 strategic plan. The board's final approval allows Petrobras to begin the project's contracting phase.
