Planet Labs PBC is extending the public release delay for Middle East satellite imagery to two weeks. This measure increases the previous 96-hour delay implemented following escalating regional conflicts.
The company stated that near-real-time data could be used by adversarial actors to threaten civilians and NATO-partner personnel. The extended timeline applies to imagery of the Gulf States and adjacent conflict zones.
Imagery of Iran is specifically excluded from the two-week restriction.
