Palantir faces £330M NHS contract review, as lawmakers demand early exit

The British government is conducting a full review of its £330 million ($441 million) contract with Palantir. A parliamentary committee is pressuring ministers to terminate the deal by exercising a break clause in early 2027.

Ministers awarded the contract in November 2023 to establish the NHS Federated Data Platform. This system connects health data across the National Health Service to improve operational efficiency.

Critics cite significant risks regarding data privacy and the UK’s reliance on the U.S. analytics firm for critical infrastructure. A parliamentary report recently labeled Palantir’s role an unacceptable point of weakness for the public sector.
