PayPal is expanding its PYUSD stablecoin access to a total of 70 countries. The service was previously limited to the U.S. and U.K.

This rollout adds 68 new markets across Africa, South America, and Asia. Notable additions include Uganda, Colombia, and Peru.

Users in these regions can now hold, send, and receive the dollar-pegged token within their PayPal wallets. The expansion aims to reduce friction and costs for international remittances.

PayPal is also extending its rewards program to these new markets. Eligible users can earn approximately 4% annually on their PYUSD holdings.
