PayPal has integrated Venmo with its global network for the first time. Venmo users can now exchange funds with PayPal users across 90 different markets. This move marks the largest expansion of Venmo’s addressable market since the application's inception.

The company is temporarily waiving fees for international transfers to promote adoption. This initiative aims to eliminate cross-border payment friction and reduce app fragmentation.

PayPal’s stock increased by 3.0% in morning trading following the announcement. The expansion positions Venmo to compete more aggressively in the global and intergenerational money transfer sectors.
