D-Wave Quantum Inc. has formed a strategic partnership with IT consulting firm CGI to accelerate quantum computing adoption. CGI will integrate D-Wave’s Advantage2 systems and hybrid solvers into its service portfolio. The collaboration focuses on solving complex optimization challenges for the logistics, transportation, and retail sectors.
The company also appointed former BNP Paribas Group CIO Bernard Gavgani to its Board of Directors and Cybersecurity Committee. This move aims to bolster governance and security as D-WAVE targets highly regulated enterprise and government markets.
These developments coincide with a pre-market rally across the quantum computing sector. Investor interest is currently high following quantum error correction breakthroughs by competitor IonQ.
